このフォーラムは、当店の材料をお使いかどうかに関わらず、クラフトバンド・紙バンド・PPバンド——そして、手芸で「何かを編む」すべての方のための場所として開きました。
すべての方のための場所、というのには、もうひとつ意味があります。基本の言語は日本語ですが、英語でもお使いいただけます。国が違っても、同じように手を動かしている方どうしが、作品や工夫を分かち合える場所になればと願っています。
手芸は、ひとりで向き合う時間の多い手仕事です。ちょっとした疑問が浮かんでも聞く相手がいなかったり、うまく編めた作品を見せる場所がなかったり——そんなことは、ありませんか。ここが、その行き先のひとつになれたら、とても嬉しく思います。

言語について — 日本語と英語が並んでいる理由
当店のウェブサイトは、ページごとに日本語と英語を切り替えてご覧いただけます。けれども、このフォーラムだけは言語で分けておらず、日本語の投稿と英語の投稿が、同じ場所に並びます。
これは、そうと決めてのことです。フォーラムは「読みもの」ではなく「会話の場」です。言語ごとにお部屋を分けてしまうと、せっかくの作品も、せっかくのご質問も、半分の方にしか届きません。編みかごの写真は、言葉が分からなくても伝わります。ですからここでは、みなさんに同じお部屋に集まっていただくことにしました。
英語の投稿に日本語のお返事がつくことも、その逆もあります。分からない言葉があったら、翻訳機能を気軽にお使いください。機械翻訳らしい文章になっても、どうぞお気になさらず。伝えようとしてくださるお気持ちが、いちばん嬉しいのです。
ご登録と、お名前の表示について
投稿には、無料のユーザー登録が必要です。
閲覧だけでしたら、ご登録は要りません。
ご登録の前に、ひとつだけ知っておいていただきたいことがあります。
フォーラムに表示されるのは「ユーザー名」です。登録フォームの「氏名」欄にご記入いただいたお名前が、投稿に表示されることはありません。表示されるのは、あくまでユーザー名のほうです。
ですので、
ユーザー名には、人前に出しても差し支えのないもの——ニックネームやハンドルネームなど——をお選びいただくと安心です。あとから変えたくなったときは、いつでもご相談ください。
投稿について
- 基本の言語は日本語ですが、英語でも投稿していただけます
- 写真（jpg / png / webp / avif）と設計データ（cbmesh）を添付できます（1ファイル5MBまで）
- 動画は、YouTube などの動画サービスに投稿したものを埋め込む方法をおすすめしています。サーバーの容量や通信量を使わずに済み、いちばん手軽です

- スパム対策のため、ご登録後の最初の数件は、確認のうえ表示されます。反映まで少しだけお待ちください

Hello, and welcome. I'm the owner of Alaudae Japan.
This forum is open to everyone who weaves — whether you work with craft band, paper band, or PP band, and whether or not you use our materials.
"Everyone" means something else here, too. Japanese is our main language, but you're very welcome to post in English. Wherever you are in the world, we hope this can be a place to share your work and your ideas with others who are doing the same thing with their hands.
Crafting is often quiet, solitary work. Sometimes a small question comes up and there's no one to ask; sometimes you finish a piece you're proud of and there's nowhere to show it. If this can become one of those places for you, nothing would make us happier.
A small request
For anything involving personal information — order numbers, addresses, payments — please use our
contact form rather than the forum. This is a public space that anyone can read, so posts containing personal details may be edited or removed. Thank you for understanding.
What you can do here
- Ask about weaving techniques, color choices, or tools → "Weaving & Design Help"
- Share photos of your work → "Gallery" (any material, any brand — all welcome)
- Talk about the design tool CraftBandMesh, and share design files (.cbmesh)
- Introducing your own work or website is fine, within reason
About language — why Japanese and English share one space
Elsewhere on our website, each page can be switched between Japanese and English. The forum is the one place we haven't divided by language: Japanese and English posts sit side by side here.
That's a choice we made on purpose. A forum is a conversation, not a publication. If we split it into separate language rooms, every lovely piece of work and every good question would reach only half of us. A photo of a woven basket needs no translation. So here, everyone gathers in the same room.
An English post may receive a Japanese reply, and the other way around. If you come across words you don't understand, please feel free to use a translation tool — and please don't worry if your own sentences sound a little machine-translated. What we treasure most is that you wanted to share.
Registering, and how your name appears
You'll need a free account to post.
If you only want to read, no account is needed.
There's one thing worth knowing before you sign up.
What appears on your posts is your username. The name you enter in the "name" field is never shown on your posts — only your username is.
So we'd suggest choosing a
username you're comfortable having in public — a nickname or handle is perfectly fine. If you'd like to change it later, just let us know.
About posting
- Japanese is our main language, but you're welcome to post in English
- You can attach photos (jpg / png / webp / avif) and design files (cbmesh) — up to 5MB per file
- For videos, we recommend embedding from a service like YouTube. It doesn't use up server space or bandwidth, and it's the simplest way

- To keep spam out, your first few posts will appear after a quick review. Please allow a little time for them to show up
