Shipping Method: International related

EMS(Express Mail Service)

EMS is an international express mail service provided by Japan Post. It can deliver documents and packages weighing up to 30 kg to over 120 countries and regions in as little as 3 to 4 days.

  • Shipping rates: Shipping rates are pre-determined and displayed, so it is easy to check the cost.
  • Insurance coverage: Insurance is free for items valued at less than ¥20,000. For items valued at more than ¥20,000, you can pay a ¥50 insurance premium for every ¥20,000 of coverage. For example, if you are shipping an item valued at ¥100,000, you can pay a ¥200 insurance premium to receive up to ¥100,000 in coverage. Insurance premiums, like shipping rates, are also pre-determined and displayed, so it is easy to check the cost.
  • Tracking: Tracking is free for all EMS shipments. You can enter the tracking number of your shipment to check the delivery status online.
International parcels (Air)

Of the three shipping methods for international parcels, airmail is the fastest, but it costs more than surface mail or SAL mail.

  • Prices are preset and can be easily checked.
  • If there is no insurance, the specified damage compensation amount will be applied. If you choose to insure your shipment, it will be covered up to the maximum SDR of the country of delivery, but in some cases the amount of insurance will be less than the purchase price of the product. The insurance premium is ¥400 if the insured amount is up to ¥20,000, and ¥50 for each ¥20,000 if the amount exceeds ¥20,000.
  • Example: If the country you are shipping to is Bangladesh, which has an SDR of 200, and you add insurance of ¥450, you will receive a maximum compensation of ¥33,924.
  • Parcel tracking may or may not be possible depending on the destination country/region.

Note: SDR stands for Special Drawing Rights. Special Drawing Rights represent a unit of currency that is common throughout the world. 1SDR changes every year.

International parcels (Surface)

Of the three shipping methods for international parcels, surface mail is the slowest, but the cost is the lowest compared to airmail and SAL mail.

Charge for cardboard boxes

To accommodate customers from Japan and around the world, we are implementing a paid and shared system for cardboard boxes.
The following five types of cardboard boxes will be available for packaging. The prices are the same for domestic and international shipments.

  • 60 size: ¥90
  • 64 size: ¥130
  • 80 size: ¥130
  • 100 size: ¥260
  • 120 size: ¥260

This change will make it easier for customers to select or change shipping methods and payment methods at checkout, which will improve user convenience and efficiency for the store.
