Jig components being made -Part 2-

 -  Others
What we noticed when using this component after its completion.
  • Although the boards were purchased 1 mm wide, they are more than 1 mm thick in width, with six boards being about 7 mm wide.
  • The width thickness was adjusted with a paper file, but on the contrary, each piece of thickness changes, and on the contrary, the accuracy becomes worse.
  • Does the coefficient of friction increase between plastics? More unnecessary force is needed when tearing, resulting in more failures in tearing.
and the parts were created in search of work efficiency, but on the contrary, the efficiency became worse.
After much worrying and with no budget at all, I bought a spacer made of stainless steel (because my home is humid and rusty) with some good precision.
As a result, the tear and width have both stabilised, but I am happy and sad to say that this jig component alone has cost me more than I imagined...
