Jig components being made -Part 2-
- Others
What we noticed when using this component after its completion.
- Although the boards were purchased 1 mm wide, they are more than 1 mm thick in width, with six boards being about 7 mm wide.
- The width thickness was adjusted with a paper file, but on the contrary, each piece of thickness changes, and on the contrary, the accuracy becomes worse.
- Does the coefficient of friction increase between plastics? More unnecessary force is needed when tearing, resulting in more failures in tearing.
After much worrying and with no budget at all, I bought a spacer made of stainless steel (because my home is humid and rusty) with some good precision.
As a result, the tear and width have both stabilised, but I am happy and sad to say that this jig component alone has cost me more than I imagined...
