The Mystery of Color and Simultaneous Production: Tabletop Container "Solid Usu-Beni" Prototype

  • This prototype is the solid color type among four variations of the tabletop container case with a handle. I challenged this shape based on the work of a Taiwanese handicraft enthusiast.

Color Observation and Prototype Variations

  • I noticed the mystery of color: although the bag's actual color is "*usu-beni*" (pale crimson/pink), it appears brownish in the image.
  • After creating two (actually three) solid-color types, I produced a total of five prototypes simultaneously, asking: "How would it look with two colors?" and "What if the warp and weft materials were different colors?"

Manufacturing Method and Handle Reflection

  • Manufacturing Method: All main body sections were woven first, and the handles were attached afterward.
  • Point of Reflection (Handle): Since no core material was inserted into the handle section, the finish was slightly distorted. My point of regret is that I wished for a bit more roundness.

The Challenge of Speed and the Real Pleasure of Creation

  • The main goal this time was to attempt simultaneous creation to learn how quickly the same shape could be produced.
  • The finished work presented me with challenges: "It's simple, but something is missing," and "More ingenuity is needed." However, the process of the things I create and imagine in my head actually taking shape is truly enjoyable.
  • There are failures as I proceed with production, envisioning what form the material will take. Even so, I am reminded that the joy upon completion is immense.
  • Of the tabletop container prototypes with handles, the Usu-Beni (Pale Crimson/Pink) color is a one-of-a-kind creation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is the "Production History" (製作品歴)?

A1: It is a list compiling our past finished products and prototypes.

  • The "Production History" is a list compiled by Handicrafts Store☆ALAUDAE that allows anyone to view the past finished products and prototypes that have been manufactured, sold, and are now sold out.
  • Here, you can see the brand's journey, design transitions, and technical trial-and-error process. This list will be continually added to and updated as new products and prototypes are created in the future.
Q2: Will products listed in the Production History be sold again (re-produced)?

A2: We may consider re-selling them if there are many requests for production of sold-out items.。

  • If we receive many requests for a re-sale, we will consider re-producing the item.
  • However, the creator also operates a Web development business concurrently, and it can be difficult to secure time for handicraft work when the Web tasks are busy. Therefore, re-sale will be considered only when the creator has sufficient time for handicraft work.
  • Please feel free to send us your requests, such as "We would like this product to be sold again."
Q3: Why do products in the Production History show "Out of Stock"?

A3: This is a display method used to efficiently list our past works.

  • This is a functional display implemented by utilizing the mechanism of the E-Commerce (EC) site to reduce the time required to create new articles for blogs, etc.
  • Please understand that the products listed in the "Production History" currently have no inventory, but they are in a state where re-sale is possible if they are manufactured again.
