ProtoType6 Pearl ◇W6-RURIIRO, ASAGIIRO◇ Ichimatsukoshi

Fortuna pearl 6mm wide prototype. Herlikin check, diagonal check (checkerboard) pattern. Fortuna pearls 6 mm wide, dotted rows 29 width x 10 gusset x 22 vertical type. Handle woven with 4 mm wide pearls of the same colour, ø 9 double-sided caulking. The Fortuna pearl, which is textured with a silk-like feel and pearlescent lustre, is used to create a unique expression of a herringbone check or diagonal check (checkerboard) pattern in a narrow width of 6 mm.

What would happen if you knit a (chequered) pattern in a narrow width? I thought it would be a challenge. The result was a realisation that drawing a (checkerboard) pattern with fewer gaps (in 08/2019) is impossible with amateur skills and an understanding that it is important to "start with what you can do, not what you can't do".
It was completed about a year later, as the web construction work was prioritised during the production (renewal on 13 August 2020).
However, after a period of interruption, a new idea for the handle was developed: the combination of "12-round weave, 6-round weave and flat weave", which is only possible because of the softness of the material Fortuna Pearl.
The handle (grip) uses a transparent vinyl hose outer diameter Φ10 mm as the core material, which is normally used as a handle cover in PP bands, and the caulking is also reinforced by passing the caulking through this core material. Exactly the way anyone might not think of doing it. It took a long time to complete, but it was a prototype that made future production fun.

This prototype was not sold, but given as a gift to a regular customer after this product description was uploaded.
