What we noticed using Fortuna Pearl.
Is Fortuna Pearl a material that is usually a little hard and softens as it warms up on human skin.
Even my hands, which have a numb sense of touch, can tell that it feels soft to the touch, which is a better feeling than the PP band I used before. So the work has become somewhat easier.
Also, the Fortuna Pearl 21mm is wide and I was worried that it might not be tight enough, but its softness seems to make it easy to adjust the tightness.
I've never basket weaved anything other than domestic PP bands and Fortuna tape, so I can't be sure
・Harder materials are PP bands for securing luggage.
・The intermediate material is domestic handicraft PP bands or certain well-known PP bands.
・The soft material is Fortuna Tape.
and people's preferences, or can be used separately.
However, in my case, I am glad I bought Fortuna tape, considering my hands have a paralysed sense of touch. Because from now on my hands will be less useless, numb and sore...
And what you should be aware of.
The fact that it tends to soften on human skin means that it should be sensitive to high temperatures and high heat.
Definitely not in the car or in direct sunlight in summer. It will deform.
Also, that those who tighten by basket weaving may stretch the Fortuna tape if they use brute force.
Also, it is completely unsuitable for making baskets to hold heavy items, like PP bands for fixing luggage.
Two different colour scheme bags are currently being produced, and for some reason only one of them is growing, as shown in the image.
It is only a prediction, but I think there are some weak areas in parts, so the tape that has been replaced and stretched will be used separately for the usable parts.
