It's cloudy and sometimes rainy today, so the cherry blossoms might be dancing...
Now that the Alaudae.JP website has been relaunched and I am feeling better, work on the production of handcrafted products resumes today, 25 April 2019.
I am not involved in the fashion world, but I happened to know the Italian brand BOTTEGA VENETA through Twitter. I have started to knit baskets, which has inspired me, and I am waiting for the materials for the 21mm width handles, while I am working on knitting 15mm width baskets in the same two colours from this morning.
Why did you start knitting 15 mm widths in the same colour?
Although we wanted to compare the difference between 15mm and 21mm widths, most people are more familiar with the 15mm width, which should be easier to visualise as a shape, and we thought we should make it in the 15mm width for the domestic market.
But this whole work process was inexperienced and, except for a knitting diagram, everything was prepared in my head, with the length and number of tapes prepared by feel, and I had no idea how it would turn out.
Incidentally, when 21 mm wide, everything on the outside could be neatly put together without any joints.
However, there is a part of the inner part that needs to be joined, and I thought that if I had knitted the inner part without cutting it, it might have come together a little more neatly.
The 21mm width has been completed except for the handles, so there is an interruption period of about two months, but if I haven't forgotten, it should go as expected.
The golden week of 2019 is likely to be craft work.
In the future, we will also use the Handicraft Store blog and news for handicraft-related information.
Otherwise, there's no point in opening a handicraft store...
In any case, we will do our best to sell Handicraft products as soon as possible.
