A Challenge to Limits and the Quest for a New Weaving Method

  • This prototype is not simply a bag shape, but the crystallization of a challenge to the limits of the material.
It began with the exploration of how far the maximum size of a bag with a "Diamond Lattice" pattern could be pushed, using a limited amount of material: "15mm width × 27m roll × 2 rolls (54m total)."
While aiming for the theoretical maximum size, "Prototype 8-9 Squares," we prioritized certainty and reliability in the pattern design to also secure material for the handle, ultimately shaping it as "Prototype 8-7 Squares."

Failure as Fuel for Original Technique

  • Despite meticulous calculations for the pattern, an accident occurred during production: we noticed a length miscalculation in just 12 sections.
However, instead of letting this error become a simple loss, we utilized the remaining material from those sections to elevate the design into the centerpiece of this work: the original "Edge Stitch" woven handle. This was the moment a new technique was born by overcoming a challenge.
We believe this "Prototype 8-7 Squares" is likely the maximum possible dimension for weaving both the body and the handle with the 54m of material. Yet, this only marks my current personal limit; I believe that with further ingenuity, there are still more forms that can be created.

"Fortuna Weave"—A New Door Opens

  • To confidently answer the natural question, "Can this truly be completed with this amount of material?"—and by publicly sharing this entire process of trial and error—this prototype has given us the motivation to launch a new content world: "Fortuna Weave."

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is the "Production History" (製作品歴)?

A1: It is a list compiling our past finished products and prototypes.

  • The "Production History" is a list compiled by Handicrafts Store☆ALAUDAE that allows anyone to view the past finished products and prototypes that have been manufactured, sold, and are now sold out.
  • Here, you can see the brand's journey, design transitions, and technical trial-and-error process. This list will be continually added to and updated as new products and prototypes are created in the future.
Q2: Will products listed in the Production History be sold again (re-produced)?

A2: We may consider re-selling them if there are many requests for production of sold-out items.。

  • If we receive many requests for a re-sale, we will consider re-producing the item.
  • However, the creator also operates a Web development business concurrently, and it can be difficult to secure time for handicraft work when the Web tasks are busy. Therefore, re-sale will be considered only when the creator has sufficient time for handicraft work.
  • Please feel free to send us your requests, such as "We would like this product to be sold again."
Q3: Why do products in the Production History show "Out of Stock"?

A3: This is a display method used to efficiently list our past works.

  • This is a functional display implemented by utilizing the mechanism of the E-Commerce (EC) site to reduce the time required to create new articles for blogs, etc.
  • Please understand that the products listed in the "Production History" currently have no inventory, but they are in a state where re-sale is possible if they are manufactured again.
